The recipient of this award has been serving the Lord as a teacher at Cross Lanes Christian School for 42 years. He was here when the first graduating class walked across the stage. He has witnessed all 1065 graduates, ministered with 10 different Administrators. His contributions to the successful legacy of Cross Lanes Christian School are too many to list.  He currently serves on the Administrative team as the High School Supervisor.

He has demonstrated a sincere commitment to serving Christ through the ministry of CLCS. In every conversation about school, education, or policy, his focus is on what is best for the students. He has been a mentor to several graduates and faculty members he is a faithful and excellent Bible teacher with a dedication to the accuracy and authority of the text. He teaches Physical Science, Standard Chemistry (2 sections), Honors Chemistry (2 sections), Physics, and 10th-11th Boys Bible.

He is a lifelong learner, always growing as a teacher. His calm analysis of many situations and decisions brings great stability and wise guidance to our educational goals.

He and his wife Debbie have three boys: Michael, a vice principal in Tennessee; Jeremy, a GI doctor at Charleston Gastroenterology, and Steven who is a Nurse practitioner in Charleston, SC. They have 8 grandchildren and 1 on the way.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science education from Bob Jones University, and a Master’s degree in Environmental studies from WV Graduate College.
