Cross Lanes Christian School (CLCS) Senior Casey Legg has committed to play for the West Virginia University football team for the 2018 season.
A four-year member of the CLCS Warrior Soccer and basketball teams, Legg served as captain for both teams during his junior and senior seasons. In soccer, Legg helped his team to four West Virginia Christian Athletic Tournament (WVCAT) titles and was selected to the WVCAT All-Tournament team as a sophomore, junior and senior. During his senior season, Legg was also selected to the WVCAT All-Tournament basketball team.
In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Legg serves as Student Body President and is co-valedictorian of CLCS’s graduating class.
“It’s rare to be able to coach and develop a relationship with an all-around talented man like Casey,” said Cross Lanes Christin School Men’s soccer coach Andrae Williamson. “He displays maturity beyond his years, is a great role model for his peers, and motivates everyone around him to perform at their best. It was an honor to have been his coach his senior season.”
Cross Lanes Christian School will host a ceremonial signing on April 13, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. in the school’s gym, located at 5330 Floradale Drive in Cross Lanes. Members of the media and the general public are welcome to attend the signing.
