Unto Us a Child is Born

Unto Us a Child is Born Presented by CLCS Music Students

Bells ringing, children singing, lights sparkling, little sheep with cottony coats, and docile donkeys with feathery ears—all the accompaniments to the presentation of the story of the birth of Christ overflowed our stage and filled our gymnasium with the excitement and wonder of Christmas when our choirs and musicians presented “Unto Us a Child is Born.”

The fourth and fifth grade handbell choir, led by Mrs. Madonna Estep, opened the evening with God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. The events of the birth of Christ were presented in song and narration by costumed elementary students and middle and high school choirs in their best Sunday attire. High school choir and a ladies’ quartet performed “The Greatest Christmas Tree” accompanied by a violinist, guitarist, and xylophonist. Mrs. Campbell’s art students provided costumes and Christmas decor.

Mrs. Raquel Mack directed our program, her first Christmas program for CLCS. Wonderful performance and presentation of the miracle of the birth of Christ, Mrs. Mack, students, and all who helped!
