CLCS held our fifth Middle School Graduation Thursday, May 22, 2025, for the future high school graduating class of 2029. Miss Samantha Corbin, middle school president, led pledges to the American and Christian flags and the Bible. Mr. John Koster, middle school supervisor, science, and Bible teacher, offered the invocation and Mr. Eddie Riley, administrator, welcomed the graduates and their guests. Miss Samantha Corbin, Mr. Cooper Beakes, Miss Eliyah Ervin, and Mr. Dayton Curtis each read a portion of scripture.
Mr. Isaiah McFarland, student body president 2025/2026, lit a pillar candle representing the high school student body. Ms. Laura Humphreys, middle school dean of women and middle school math teacher, announced the graduates as they crossed the stage to receive their diploma from Mr. Riley and Mr. Koster. After receiving a diploma, each graduate lit a single taper candle from the pillar candle, symbolic of the transition from middle school to high school. Mrs. Mary Cumberledge, assistant administrator, presented the graduates with award packets.
Mr. Riley challenged the graduates with words of wisdom. Mr. Koster provided the benediction and closing remarks. A dessert reception followed the ceremony. Thanks to Mrs.Sherri Stevens for the processional and recessional piano music.
