Senior Early Dismissal Privilege Policy

Seniors can be granted a special early dismissal privilege in accordance with the school's academic standards and the approval of their parents. Please note: This is a PRIVILEGE and NOT A RIGHT. At any time, at the discretion of the Administration, this privilege may be revoked for violation of the Eligibility Conditions or of the spirit of the opportunity.
Certain regulations must be adhered to for students to be granted the Senior Early Dismissal Privilege:
  • Seniors who have completed all scheduled activities may be dismissed after their last class provided parental permission has been granted.
  • Seniors must sign out of school in the school office and leave campus (not go sit in their cars or loiter).They may not have someone else sign them out.
  • Seniors are expected to be on time for all scheduled activities.
  • Seniors are not allowed to run errands for other students or become a delivery service.
  • Seniors must have parental approval from their parent(s) (both, if applicable).
  • Seniors with failing grades, failed subjects, or incomplete work in a subject will have their Senior Early Dismissal Privileges suspended until either the grades are improved to a "C" average and/or the work is complete.
  • Seniors must not be on disciplinary probation or accumulate more than 30 demerits in a given semester. At that point these privileges will be revoked without prior notice.
  • Seniors may not be on Academic Probation (all NEW seniors are on Academic probation for the first marking period).
  • Seniors must be on schedule and not behind their academic prospectus (all subjects must be up to date with no previous failures in an academic class).
  • Parents may designate that seniors may leave ONLY at designated times (i.e. only after the last academic class or only on a certain day). Please indicate whether your senior may leave school early every day or list the days/restrictions on when he/she may leave.
  • By submitting this form, parents are releasing CLCS of all liability for their senior when allowed to check out and leave campus.

Parental Permission for Senior Early Dismissal Privilege

By submitting this form, I/we grant my/our senior permission to leave school early as per the above mentioned standards. I/we do understand that if my/our senior were to become academically ineligible or a disciplinary risk that his/her "senior privileges" may be revoked without prior notice. Parents may revoke this privilege in writing at any time.

These privileges are allowed based on the qualification stated on the Senior Privileges Early Dismissal Policy form. They are awarded for maturity and academic success.
