Stately nutcrackers stood guard at the entrance to a wonderland decorated with shades of glistening gold and warm, wintry pink candy canes, hard candies, poinsettias, and Christmas tree ornaments. Winter Formal 2024 “Night at the Ballet” was held Saturday, December 10.
While guests mingled and posed for formal photos, a selection of hors d’oeuvres was available including hummus, cheeses, veggies and dip, and fondue. Dinner choices included pasta, chicken, macaroni and cheese, steamed vegetables, salad, and rolls. Fountains of milk chocolate and white chocolate flowed at the dessert table with crispy rice treats, strawberries, and pretzel rods for dipping. Pink lemonade, tea, and water sparkled underneath a night sky of white “stars.”
Following dinner, students competed for gift card prizes in a game of “Name That Christmas Tune” and in a timed race to unwrap a prize very securely bound in plastic wrap. Oven mitts made the task somewhat challenging!
Thanks to Mrs. Witmer and student council, caterers Jason and Tammy Wallace, and all who made Winter Formal an evening to remember for our high school students!
