CLCS Students Inducted into American Christian Honor Society

Despite an unusual spring snowstorm, eligible CLCS seniors, juniors, and sophomores were inducted into the American Christian Honor Society (ACHS) on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Cross Lanes Bible Church. Students who were invited to apply for membership met GPA requirements and submitted an application for induction.

Administrator, Mr. Eddie Riley, welcomed everyone to the ceremony and issued a challenge to the students. Ruth Ann Milam, ACHS Advisor, explained the events of the ceremony and lit the Chapter Candle, which was followed by the lighting of candles representing the pillars of ACHS by second-year members Christian Shamblin (Scholarship), Johniece Sylvia (Leadership), Owen Brown (Character), and Chloe Beakes (Service).

Mr. Riley presented the senior members with a medallion to be worn at graduation. Ms. Milam introduced the new inductees, then each went forward and received a candle from junior, Caleb Shamblin, lit his or her individual candle from the Chapter Candle, then added the newly-lighted candle to the display. Mr. Riley presented each student with a certificate.

The ceremony concluded with a closing challenge and prayer by Pastor Ben Edwards. Congratulations to our new inductees!
