Kindergartners (and their parents!) often experience their first full week, all-day time away from home; it can be a time of anxiety and uncertainty for students and parents. At CLCS, we make that transition as smooth and painless as possible.

Kindergarten Preview Day is held in January of each year. Before this day, an Interest Form will be available on the website home page for families to complete and submit online. When the form is submitted, we will email a link to complete an online Entrance Application. When the application is submitted, an invitation to Kindergarten Preview Day will be extended. 

Kindergarten Preview Day is an enjoyable and informative morning for prospective kindergartners to tour the campus, to visit the areas where they will have lunch, art, phys ed, and music, and to spend time with Mrs. Fulks in the classroom. The county nurse and speech therapist will be on campus for hearing, vision, and speech screenings. 

During the summer, near the first day of school, new families will be invited to attend an orientation. This will be a time of fellowship with other new families, an opportunity to meet our faculty and staff and receive important information for the school year, and a time to become more familiar with our campus. 

Our kindergarten provides a safe and structured environment where your child will learn to follow classroom rules, to get along with others, and to experience art, music, and academics taught by loving, godly teachers. A special graduation ceremony is held each year just for the kindergarten class!

If enrollment for the upcoming school year is not yet open, you may complete an Interest Form (link below) at any time to begin your upcoming kindergartner’s education at our kindergarten through twelfth grade institution—before you know it, you will be planning for high school graduation!
