Elementary Music

Elementary music class consists of general music lessons and choir. Students study elementary theory and learn about orchestras and instruments. Elementary choir performs on Veteran’s Day, Grandparents’ Day and in the Christmas and Spring Concerts. 

Middle School Music

Middle school music class focuses on singing and technique including music theory practice and exercises. Students learn about rhythm, note values, time signature, and reading the treble and bass clefs. Middle school choir performs on Veteran’s Day and in the Christmas and Spring Concerts.

High School Music

High school students may choose choir as an elective. Our choirs compete and have placed at the West Virginia Christian Education Association (WVCEA) Fine Arts Festival and have competed on a national level at Bob Jones University. High schoolers perform on Veteran’s Day and in the Christmas and Spring Concerts.

Private Voice Lessons

Private voice lessons are offered during the school day by Dawn Brown. She is a voice and piano teacher, performer, and artistic director with over 25 years of experience in music education and performance. She is a Royal Conservatory of Music Development Program Certified Teacher and founder of Vero Voice Theatre and School of Performing Arts in St. Charles, Illinois, where she created a thriving performance space and guided students to success in state, regional, and national competitions.

Dawn has extensive experience in private instruction, musical theater production, and coaching for auditions, with students earning recognition from New York Lyric Opera Theatre, Carnegie Hall, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. A passionate educator, she continues to inspire students to achieve excellence while cultivating a lifelong love of music.
